Obituary John A. Cellante, Jr. July 10, 1950 – May 16, 2015 On May 16, 2015 John A. Cellante, Jr., long time resident of Sleepy Hollow, succumbed to chronic heart disease in upstate NY. Mr. Cellante was a devoted and honored life-long member of Union Hose Engine Co. No. 2 of the Sleepy Hollow Volunteer Fire Dept. serving 2 terms as fire chief and a term as president. John was also past president of the Volunteer Firemen’s Assoc. of Westchester Co. and life-long member and past president of the Sleepy Hollow Volunteer Ambulance Corp. His other service to the community was as an Emergency Medical Technician Instructor for the FDNY per diem. John is survived by his sister Ann (Dolly) Cellante-Sampson, brother Michael, sister Mary Cueva, niece Lisa Sanzo-Paciotta, nephew Dennis Cueva, and a grand niece and nephew. A schedule visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30 from 1:00–2:00 pm and a service beginning at 2:00 pm at The FASNY Firemen’s Home Chapel, 125 Harry Howard Ave., Hudson, NY 12534. The internment will follow at the Firemen’s Cemetery in Hudson, NY.
