Alfred F. Tymm, 89, of Livingston, passed away peacefully September 15, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born October 10, 1928 in Buffalo to Jan and Mary (Sobec) Tymczyszyn. Alfred served our country proudly in the Army in Germany during the Korean War. Upon returning to the states, he married Margaret Ann Green. They made their home in Buffalo, N.Y. He was the Director of Marketing/Communications for a Buffalo based company, Graphic Controls and retired after 35 years. Thirteen years ago he moved to Columbia County to be closer to his family. Alfred is survived by his son Michael Tymm, and his daughter Robin and her husband Wayne Maben. His nine grandchildren; Carly & Sarah Tymm, Zach (Sarah) Maben, Hillary (Greg) Balonek, Rebecca Maben, Jessica (Steve) Lewis, Allison Maben, Merrill Maben, and Valerie Maben. Two great grandchildren, Anders Maben, and Emma Lewis. Also surviving is his sister Irene Pratt. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Ann, and his granddaughter Marissa Tymm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on October 15, 2018 at 9:30 Am at St. James Church, 117 Hudson Ave, Chatham, NY 12037. Interment will follow at 11:30 in St. Bridget's Cemetery Copake Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family is grateful for donations in Alfred’s memory be made to the Community Hospice of Columbia & Greene Counties, 47 Liberty Street, Catskill, NY 12414.
