Emanuel "Manny" Mangione

Emanuel “Manny” Mangione, 93, passed away Monday May 6, 2019 in Ghent, NY. Born November 30, 1925 in Hudson, NY, he is the son of Michael and Theresa (Tamburro) Mangione. Manny was the proprietor of Manny’s Barber Shop in Red Hook. He was Past Exalted Ruler of Red Hook Elks Lodge #2022., and a member of the Red Hook Fire Co. and Rescue Squad. Manny served in the United States Army during WW II, and he was a member of Hudson VFW #1314. In his spare time, he loved to build model airplanes, enjoyed fishing and flower gardening. Manny is survived by his aunt Antoinette Wilson, sisters Angelina Martin and Madeline “Lee” Dickerson, nieces Kathleen Roberts and Susan Rogalski, nephews Michael Dillon, James Martin, Robert Dickerson, Jack Dillon, and Christopher Dillon, along with 5 great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Manny was predeceased by a sister Theresa Dillon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 12:30pm from Holy Trinity St. Mary’s Parish in Hudson. A visitation hour prior to mass will be from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home. Interment will be in Cedar Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Manny’s memory are encouraged to be made to Holy Trinity St. Mary’s Parish.
