Marie Guzzi

April 16, 1921 - November 17, 2019

Marie Theresa Guzzi (Dede), 98, of Livingston, passed away of natural causes on November 17, 2019. She was the beloved wife to the late Alfonso (Al) Guzzi who preceded her in death on November 13, 1991. Marie was Born on April 16, 1921 in Brooklyn NY to the late James and Jessie Dede and was the middle of three children, Grace Monticello and the late Margaret Monticello. She is survived by two loving sons, James (husband of Tina) Guzzi, and John (husband of Theresa) Guzzi, two grandchildren, Angela Guzzi and Anthony Guzzi, all of whom reside in Livingston. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Marie graduated from cosmetology school and became a hairdresser. Marie and Al were the proud owners of Almars Country Road Meat Market, which operated for many years in the town of Livingston. She enjoyed most of all being surrounded by her family, to her this was number 1 priority. She also enjoyed roller skating and roller skate dancing, knitting, sowing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, mini biking, four wheeling, camping, boating and making the most of every moment of her life. Visitation hours will be Saturday November 23 2019 from 10am-noon at Bates and Anderson funeral home in Hudson with a prayer service at noon. Marie will be buried in the Long Island National Cemetery next to her husband and daughter.
