Mary R. Stevenson

Mary R. Stevenson, 84, of Hudson, passed away Saturday March 19, 2022 in Albany, NY. Born October 2, 1937 in Albany, she is the daughter of Joseph and Marion (Renaud) Hart. Mary grew up in Watervliet, where she graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1955. Upon graduation, Mary enlisted in the United States Navy where she honorably served until 1959. While in the Navy, Mary also attended Texas A & I in Kingsville. Mary’s career included working at the Pocketbook Factory, Atlantic Knitting Mills, and Emsig Corp. She loved sports, especially the New York Mets, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football. Mary will be forever remembered by her children, Dianna (Gregory) Almstead, Theresa (Brian) Nicholson, Larry Stevenson, and Tony Stevenson, along with four grandchildren, Stephanie Almstead, Gregory Almstead Jr. (Patricia), Caitlin Nicholson, and Brendan Nicholson. Survivors also include siblings George Hart, Margaret Patsky Stocker, and Joseph Patsky, and great grandchildren Khadeem Benson and Liam Almstead. Mary was predeceased by her siblings Patricia, Barbara and Sherman, and her beloved husband of 47 years, Washington “Tony” Stevenson. Visitation hours at the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home are Monday March 28, from 5:00-7:00pm followed by a prayer service at 7:00pm.
