Paul F. Gerber, 77, of Ghent, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson with his loving family by his side. He was born December 25, 1937. He is the son of the late Paul A. and Sophie (Aichele) Gerber. Paul served in the US Army from 1957 to 1960. He was employed in the Administration Department at Taconic Telephone in Chatham for over 40 years. He had a private pilot license for many years, loved going to the movies, enjoyed playing chess, and was very well read and had a keen interest in the unexplained. He was also a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Surviving are his wife, Virginia (Van Vliet) Gerber, four children, Paul R. Gerber, Jennifer Jennings, Lee Gerber, and Vincent Gerber, his brother, Ronald C. Gerber; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Tanner, Amanda, Nicholas, Brittney, and Lance, and several nieces and nephews. Services are private. . .
