William Lansing, 93, passed away February 22, 2019 at Pine Haven Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 20, 1925 in Hudson. After finishing schooling, he went on to serve our country honorably in the Army during World War 2 in the tank division. He was a dock worker and truck driver for many years at Harders Express prior to his retirement. In his retirement he enjoyed golf, and loved to play the game as many times a week as he could. Although he didn’t ride a motorcycle he enjoyed attending motorcycle rally’s with his son, and even made the trip to Sturgis. He loved to dance, especially to music from the 1940’s. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 294, and the Stuyvesant Falls VFW post 9593. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren and great grandchildren. William is survived by his daughter Carol (Wally) Zincio, and son Kenneth (Michelle) Lansing. His seven grandchildren, Stephanie (William) Fronczak, William (Fiancé Kera Shetsky) Zincio, Curt (Ellen) Zincio, Shawn Lansing, Denise (Thomas) Sepulveda, Jason (Caitlin) Lansing and Chad (Companion McKenzie) Lansing. His sixteen great grandchildren; Sarah, Alex, Chase, Abby, Breilla, Issabelle, Wyatt, Tanner, Lincoln, Thomas, Michael, Gunner, Phoenix, Easton, Vivian, and Leah. Also surviving are two sisters; Hazel Szafran and Betty Sigler. In addition to many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 10:00 am from Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson. Interment will follow in Mellenville Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 3:30 to 7:30.
